Grandma Kohm’s Teriyaki Chicken Wings

I love this recipe.  It is best to overcook the wings so they fall right off the bone.  This makes it a nice dish for a party where you can leave it in the oven at a low temperature and almost forget about it until you need more.

  • 3 lbs chicken wings
  • 4 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp salad oil
  • 1/2 Tbsp chili sauce
  • 1/2 c brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp vinegar

Wash chicken and pat dry.  Mix remaining ingredients and pour over chicken. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour or longer (longer is better) turn often. Remove chicken from marinade, reserve marinade.  Place chicken on rack in foil lined broiler pan at 400 F oven.  Bake 30 min.  Brush with reserved marinade, turn and bake 30 minutes longer or until tender brushing occasionally with marinade.
